ABOUT US MELLAND, CINDY Publisher of Hi-Desert Publishing and General Manger of the Valley Independent Printing, Cindy has been actively involved in the Morongo Basin Communities since 1985. She has served on the Boards of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club, the Yucca Valley Rotary Club, the Hi-Desert Medical Foundation, Desert Regional Tourism Agency and the Tri-Valley Little League. She currently holds memberships in the Yucca Valley Rotary Club, the Youth Sports Park coalition, and the Morongo Basin Historical Society. Her businesses are members of the Chambers of Commerce of Yucca Valley, 29 Palms and Desert Hot Springs. Cindy has been a member and a board member of the Basin Wide Foundation since 1999.
HARWIN, CARY Cary is the founding President & CEO of Catalyst Development Corporation. With a background in finance and marketing experience that began in 1967, he has been responsible for running several music publishing companies on behalf of leading contemporary rock stars and the songwriting force behind Motown Records. In addition to heading up several other software companies, Cary has published two books on Electronic Marketing. His accounting background includes functioning as a business manager for clients including heirs of the Eastman Kodak and Warner Brothers estates as well as for public companies including the STP Corporation and many leading entertainment figures. Cary has been a member of the BWF since early 1999
ARMSTRONG, KOLLEEN Kolleen has been a resident of Yucca Valley since 1987. She serves as a partner with both the Armstrong Family Group (AFG) that owns and operates the two Del Taco franchises in Yucca Valley and AFG Realty that has offices in the Morongo Basin and in the community of Desert Hot Springs. Kolleen worked for five years as a paralegal for Wayne W. Armstrong - a local attorney and respected Advisor to the Basin Wide Foundation. She has been owner and board member with Armstrong Management and Consulting, Inc. (AMCI) since 1993 and a board member of Hi-Desert Aquatics since 2002. Kolleen has been a professional singer since 1969 and has performed in that role as a voluntary contributor at any number of community events. She has been a member of the Basin Wide Foundation since the year 2004.
HANCOCK, ARN Arn has been the owner/operator of a number of business enterprises in the Morongo Basin since 1979. Presently the Owner of Hancock Limousine Service, he is the President of Hancock Network Communications, Inc. Arn was a member of the Pioneertown Fire Auxiliary from 1973 to 1984. He was PCF Fire Captain in 1981, and honored as Firefighter of the Year that same year. He is currently a member of the Yucca Valley, Palm Springs, and Big Bear Lake Chambers of Commerce. He is a member of the National Limousine Association, the Greater Southern California Livery Association and the California Drug & Alcohol Testing Alliance. He is also a member of the Yucca Valley Rotary Club and was named Yucca Valley Citizen of the Year in 2001. In 2004 Soroptimist International named him “Man of Distinction”. He has been appointed to the Business Advisory Council (BAC) State of California 2006, and is part of The National Republican Congressional Committee. He is the current President of Yucca Valley Chapter of BNI 2006. Arn has been a member of the BWF since 2002. |
